George Kenney: "Interview with "James Church" a/k/a Inspector 'O'" @ Electric Politics
Dear Michael,
I got lucky and managed to track down "James Church," the nom de plume of a former CIA officer with decades of experience in Asia, who has been writing a series of brilliant, highly acclaimed novels featuring the North Korean policeman, Inspector O. Even "Church's" former colleagues say he's "got the atmosphere dead on." Comparisons with John Le Carré (aka David John Moore Cornwell) are inevitable but perhaps unfair… to "Church." In any case, for me this was a real thrill -- and hopefully I learned something, too.
As always, if you like the podcast please forward the link.
Best,
g.
