She did quote Gov.-elect Brownback on why he picked the staff members, a small town banker from Baxter Springs, American Bank CEO and former state House Speaker Tim Shallenberger and (start the drums rolling):

Landon Fulmer is a fifth-generation Kansan and a graduate of Tabor College. He worked for Brownback during his time in the Senate as his legislative director. He lives in Lawrence with his wife, Lidiya, and their two daughters, Anna and Victoria.

"Landon is an expert in issues viable to the state of Kansas, including the budget process and executive branch restructuring, and has already done great work in helping Kansas secure the NBAF and in our efforts to win the Boeing tanker contract," Brownback said.

"As policy director, he will help craft and advance our legislative plan implementing the road map for Kansas to grow the economy by controlling state spending."
