Jodie Evans: "Why I tried to put the cuffs on Karl Rove" - AlterNet
"He wanted to do a book signing and she wanted to arrest him," was the lead on KCBS TV in Los Angeles. Dozens of activists attended the book signing in Beverly Hills of Karl Rove and his new book, Courage and Consequence. After almost an hour of his lies I leapt up with a set of handcuffs and my full page arrest complaint followed immediately by the event security. I managed to get very close to Rove, even tricking the security to let go of me, causing Rove to dash away while I reached for his wrist with the hand cuffs. My words followed him. But he only went a few steps and was greeted by Dede Miller, her nephew Casey Miller, son of Cindy Sheehan was killed in Iraq 6 years ago April 4th. She told him his lies killed her nephew while holding up a photo of Casey. Patricia Foulkrod, director of the Ground Truth stood by him with an Arrest the War Criminal banner as the event unraveled and he announced to the organizers it was over. ... More at AlterNet

Received from another correspondence in reference to the number of people attending the 5,000 seat capacity hall where Turd Blossom spoke:
"40…yep…approximately 40 people showed up to hear Karl Rove pontificate about his self-identified role as “The Architect” in the George W. Bush presidency. Out of the 40 or so people that showed up who paid an admission fee of $25.00 ($40.00 if you wanted to purchase Rove’s book) a dozen who sat right up front were activists…including Ilene, her friends Dede Miller, Jodie Evans and Patricia Foulkrod. As described above, Dede is the sister of Cindy Sheehan and made a brave and terribly hard move to sit in the front row next to Ilene facing “The Architect” of the Iraq war who murdered her nephew. Patricia Foulkrod is a producer and director of numerous productions including “The Ground Truth: After the Killing Ends”.
Ilene said that even though she has a severe aversion-to-polyester disorder she endured the small gathering of “gentrified and ossified” republicans who warmed the make shift seats behind her. The audience was so small and inconsequential that they closed the theatre and converted the lobby to accommodate the remarkably sparse attendees.
The youngest of the conservative attendees were more than likely centenarians…and “dripping in wealth”. Their entire recollection of the Bush years seemed to consist entirely of a revisionist recall of 9/11 and somehow a misdirected and nauseating appreciation of Rove and his puppet president."
