Philippe Sands Considers A Legacy Of 'Torture' : NPR

[excerpt] Sands warned in a June 2008 Fresh Air interview that the impact of the Bush administration's conduct would be felt internationally: "The terrible tragedy of these memos and that dark period is that they have migrated into the hands of people who now say, 'Well, Americans do it. We're going to do it also.'"... While vast numbers of Americans, most especially Kansans, have yet to come to grips with the true criminality of illegal wars of aggression done with the facetious label "War on Terror" Fresh Air's host Terri Gross every once in a while produces some gems. Read or listen to this interview on NPR. BTW Mr. Sands reveals that one of the possible perpetrators of the torture policy in the Bush administration, Jim Haynes, currently is lawyering for Chevron. Where is another alleged culprit, David Addington?
