David Axe: War Is Boring web site

A Scottish reader sent along this forward to help our comradely Kansas ridge runners understand the unfolding and fraudulant "New Cold War" since the Georgia, Russia hostilities. The guest writer at Axe's site is Gordon M. Hahn, "Dr Hahn is author of two well-received books, Russia’s Islamic Threat (Yale University Press, 2007) and Russia’s Revolution From Above (Transaction, 2002), and numerous articles on Russian politics." Here is an excerpt: The five-day Georgian-Russian saw Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili (pictured) and other Georgian officials waging an aggressive propaganda campaign and, in many ways, a disinformation war in the Western mass media. This media offensive was the result either of a carefully planned disinformation war or a rush by Western governments, mainstream media, and think tanks to get the Georgians’ side of the story and their side only.
