Gwynne Dyer: "Tehran calls Washington's bluff in high-risk war game" - NZ Herald
Breathless news readers are on the radio this morning, reporting that a special high-level U. S. diplomatic envoy is traveling for direct talks with the Iranian government. Gwynne Dyer seems to have held a special meeting with his experts yesterday. His experts are calling the bet, "NO" on bombing Iran: [excerpt] "There are occasions when whole countries are so traumatised by some shock that truly bizarre decisions become possible - the United States after 9/11 was like that for a while - but this is not one of those times. Six-to-one says that there will be no US or Israeli attack on Iran this year. ..." It might be wise to stay out with Six to One Odds against an attack on Iran.
