MY KIND OF "HERO"
SMART, MOUTHY & A JEW!
Mikey Weinstein is my kind of hero, when I hear all the blather from the media and the Bush blowhorn about a "Nation of Heroes" I get sick. Especially when most Americans can't seem to get off their big asses and stop an illegal, "war" of occupation and aggression.
Then there's the religious nutcases in Kansas, monkey brains in the state legislature picking on gays and lesbians, monkey brains erasing evolution from the school books, monkey brains picking on abortion doctors, monkey brains passing around women's private medical records like candy to any crackpot journalist to leer into. Nuts, nuts, nuts .... but there's hope!
When I hear a righteous former member of the armed services and the Reagan administration call the nut jobs in the Pentagon part of the "Christian Taliban" I get to feeling that maybe, just maybe there are still some rational minds out there who are willing to fight for what the constitution was supposed to be all about. So as the local news rolls in of this lawsuit being filed in Kansas - I get damn giddy with excitement.

This old St Jo boy has learned to love Kansas. In part because of the great people tha live there even though the Tigers will have a mouth full of Jayhawk feathers later this fall.
