Over a dozen bulldozed brushpiles lay hidden within 1/2 mile of our N. Jefferson county farm. Farmers seem to be so land hungry that every square inch of top soil is being considered.
SAY WHAT ... HOW MUCH?
A MILLION GALLONS OF WATER?
NO, A BILLION GALLONS OF WATER?
The big $230 million ethanol plant going in next to the Cargill elevators on the west side of Atchison, Ks. has caused some very interesting disclosures in the local press. It gets confusing with the water war, but still some light shines on who is cashing in on the blockheaded boondoggle the cornies are going so crazy over out here.
