Another reader sends along kudos and this link!

The article linked above is "Terrorized by 'War on Terror' How a Three-Word Mantra Has Undermined America" by Zbigniew Brzezinski

Our Flyer reader's pointed comments:

"Here's something that came out over the weekend on the topic of the power of language -- in this case, the power of a short phrase to shape an entire political culture in delusive ways. It's a good an example of real-life "conceptual analysis" where a lot is at stake.

One nice irony, of course, is that ZB's complaint is ultimately grounded in his frustration at the fact that his own dream for global hegemony -- the one outlined in his rehab of the concept of empire, The Great Chess Board: America's Pre-Eminence and Its Geostrategic Imperatives -- has been pretty much sunk by the Bush Administration's disastrous pursuit of its own model of world domination. But in the piece below, he's pretty well hit the target on how the American public has succumbed to a huge piece of bullshit that lots of Democrats have bought into, too."
